What a week?!!! SRPT is essentially a lesson in respecting your stops. I was stopped out of my position at $19, and while I knew it was "wall street" tricks; I respected my stop and took one in the chin (so to speak). If I didn't honor my stop; as opposed to being down 10%, I would have seen my principle cut in half by almost 50% the very next day!!! The thing about exiting a position is you're always allowed to buy back in. And after the raid; I indicated buying back in may be a tactically smart move and it proved to be true. The stock saw a 30% increase after the raid. Learning how to capitalize off of others' fears can be a winning strategy. I will be watching this stock tomorrow.
Earning seasons has proved to be a profitable strategy these past few weeks. Shorting $NFLX and $MSFT were by far solid plays and this week's watchlist will focus on playing "earnings". Also, note that the Federal Reserve meet this week.
Facebook (FB) Reports earnings on Wednesday and I do believe the company will report strong earnings. I expect a spike in either direction after market's close on Wednesday and a continuation into Thursday.
Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) Reported poor earnings last week and the stock lost over 5% of its share price because of it. I am currently short and will hold my short a little while longer. I expect a continuation in decline.
Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) On concerns of slow growth, Netflix's stock plummeted over 11% last week; I believe the stock is fundamentally broken, and will probably see more downside in the near future. Holding this short into next week.
Also watching $SRPT $SPX $SPY $SWHC $AMD $BCEI $AAPL As opportunities present themselves within the week, I will be sure to email them. Are you a subscriber? If not, what are you waiting for? It's FREE!
