BY: ShortMeTina It’s been a long time coming but I finally created a LinkedIn (MSFT) page for my business, ShortMeTina (feel free to add me to your connections). I’m not specifically sure where I will take that page and the type of content I want to create but I’ve always said; when in doubt, just start and you’ll figure things out along the way. As it stands, it will be a page dedicated to my journey as a trader, trading coach, entrepreneur and business owner. As well as the randomness that occur in my life. I’m rambling now, but I will stop because I really want to bring you to how I got here. So… …I have been feeling a bit uninspired lately. I’ve always maintained, when you’re stuck it is best to go outside your norm. It doesn’t have to be anything insanely crazy. A simple shake up in your daily routine will suffice. For me, that shake up meant landing at a local Starbucks around 9am on a Thursday morning- people watching. My laptop is opened but it isn’t charging. My apple (AAPL) charger stopped working yet again. Ugh! I hate to rant but It’s really annoying that I may have to buy another charger. This will be my 3rd replacement in less than 3 years. What is it about Apple chargers? Anyway, in the mist of me pulling and tugging on my charger in attempts to get it to work; a seemingly homeless person approached a Starbucks' (SBUX) patron and asked if he could buy him some food. It went something like this: Seemingly Homeless Person: “excuse me sir, can you buy me something to eat” Male Patron : nods head, “no”. Seemingly Homeless Person: “excuse me ma’am can you buy me something to eat” Me: “no” Seemingly Homeless Person: “ma’am can you buy me something to eat” Patron #3: “yes” She said, "yes". She’s a good person. There are good people in this world. This left me feeling cheery! Cheerier than I felt listening to the Frank Sinatra playlist playing in the background -it reminded me of Christmas time. Cheerier than the feeling I got drinking my Pumpkin Spice Latte. Cheery! It is by far one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had at Starbucks Speaking of, pumpkin spice at Starbucks means Fall is almost here and Christmas is around the corner. Can I tell you that I feel good. I hope so! Because, I feel good! Life is good! And if you weren’t aware, there are random acts of kindness. The ones that happen at your local Starbucks, perhaps even in your life and the ones that inspire my blogs. Inspiration for this blog: Starbucks, Patron #3, Seemingly Homeless Person, Gary Vee, Howard Lindzon & Srinivas Rao Disclaimer: I am/We are long Starbucks.
